DO
DO Sweep your house before New Years Eve
DO Think of the changes you want to make in your life
DO Pay off (or at least reduce) your credit card debts
DO Pursue a new Hobby or interest
DO Say "Gung Hey Fat Choy" (Wishing You Prosperity and Wealth) to others
DO Wear new clothes (preferably red)

DO NOT
DO NOT Sweep the floor at New Year
DO NOT Borrow or lend money
DO NOT Say "Gung Hey Fat Choy" to anybody in mourning
DO NOT Wash your hair.
DO NOT Drop your chopsticks
DO NOT Talk about Death or dying
DO NOT Say the number ‘four’ (it sounds like the word for death)

Hint: When you are giving out your luck red envelopes with their nice new money inside, make sure you give two out to each child, not just one. Happiness comes in two’s and by giving out two you are passing good luck to the next generation.
