Chinese Astrology - Year of the Rat PDF Print E-mail

The Year of the Rat is the first year in the 12 year Chinese Zodiac cycle and appropriately is the year of the leader, or the pioneer.

People born in the year of the Rat tend to be charming and passionate, but also practical and hardworking. Of course, they have leadership skills and are often highly organised and like to work to a plan.

Like we say of a real rat, people born in a Rat year can be very smart, but also very cunning and if the Rat in question is like many - highly ambitious and strong-willed – then they are a force to be reckoned with.

However, it's not all good for Rat people. They can tend to be self-destructive especially if they get involved in drugs and alcohol. Gambling too can prove to be a dangerous temptation for Rat people.

They also say that Rats may be called upon to work very hard for their living. They are not born with a silver spoon in their mouth and will have to work hard to get by while possible facing a hard life of suffering.

That said, Rat people like their money and power they are just as likely to find a way to get both in bucket loads because they are not only energetic and hardworking they are versatile and can adapt to new situations and find their way around the maze.

Rat people are easily angered and love to gossip. Willing to exploit and manipulate, Rats are in control of their emotions and often in control of those around them using mind games. They can be control freaks and perfectionists, but can also be seen to put others before themselves and be fair and reasonable, but cross a Rat and you will pay for it.
